Discuss and evaluate Nonprofits' (NP) applicants Financial Statements, focusing on the sustainability of the NP and identifying financial questions/issues for Grant Review Committee (GRC) discussion. As a member of Finance Committee (FC), you evaluate the overall financial health of NPs who submit Grant Applications and who are Invited to the 2nd round stage. No prior financial experience is necessary. We are happy to train and support you. The FC will meet 2 times, plus in-person training session is required for new committee members.
All FC members will be assigned to a Subcommittee that will evaluate a small subset of a Grant Applicant's Financial Statements in order to present their findings at the full FC Review Meeting in early April.
One member of each Subcommittee will serve as FC liaison to a GRC by joining a GRC of their choice and attend the three GRC meetings where the NP applications are discussed. All GRCs hold in-person meetings this cycle and several have hybrid capabilities to dial into meetings via Zoom. Time Commitment: 2 FC meetings + Training for new FC members
Please note, nonprofit employees may not serve on any Review Committee if the employee's organization is applying for a grant this grant cycle.
